Paradise found, paradise lost ... or is paradise only a state of mind? Don Martin says that he was once
a great actor of Shakespearean proportions. He managed to accumulate enough wealth to retire many years ago to an idyllic
island of Eden with his specially chosen "family." His lover (or two), his child and a handyman have tried to forge
out a living from on this sandy rock but the quality of life has deteriorated with the proliferation of oil drilling just
off the beach and the lack of even the simplest modern conveniences. Hope springs eternal though as Don Martin's
clan plots to find the hidden treasure that he has secreted away all these years. Only visions of wealth - like so many sugarplums
- dance in their heads. But is Don Martin the great thespian he claims to be? What is his treasure? Will it
bring his family the wealth and happiness they so desperately seek ... or will it leave them shattered emotionally and physically,
like the broken dolls that wash up on their beach?
